Pakistan's New Power: AKINCI TIHA

The AKINCI Attack Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (TİHA) in the inventory of the Pakistan Air Force has been spotted for the first time. Pakistan had previously procured the Bayraktar TB2 UAV as well.

Defense industry relations between Turkey and Pakistan are growing stronger each day. We first informed our readers about Pakistan's order of the AKINCI TİHA and Bayraktar TB2 UAV on June 29, 2022. On October 21, 2022, the AKINCI trainees from Pakistan successfully completed their training and returned to their country.

After approximately one year, the first images of the Pakistani AKINCI TİHA were shared on social media. Images of the Pakistani Bayraktar TB2 UAV were also recently shared on social media. The exact number of AKINCI and Bayraktar TB2 UAVs that Pakistan will procure from Turkey remains uncertain. Additionally, it is known that the Pakistan Air Force is interested in munitions such as Miniature Bomb and MAM-T.

The AKINCI TİHA, with its high payload capacity, is capable of using almost all the munitions that an F-16 fighter jet can use. Thanks to this feature, BAYKAR has exported the AKINCI TİHA to six different countries so far. Furthermore, contracts for the procurement of Bayraktar TB2 UAVs have been signed with 30 countries.

Since 2014, BAYKAR has produced over 500 Bayraktar TB2 UAVs. These UAVs have been successfully used in various combat zones in Syria, Iraq, Libya, Karabakh, Ukraine, and different regions of Africa.
